Field testing before and after affects of adding the Bushmaster AK74 style muzzle brake on a Keltec SU16CA rifle. Muzzle flip was significantly reduced, felt recoil was slightly reduced. The muzzle climb reduction was good enough for me to decide to keep this muzzle brake on the rifle. sight and target acquisition was faster and firing really stable with the new muzzle brake during rapid fire. My next modification is to replace the 50mm red dot with a 30mm, doesn't feel balanced.

  • It should be very effective in regards to reducing recoil. I've heard most American made copies don't work as well as the real thing.

  • @esh325 I couldn't tell too much about the recoil, there is still a bit more metal slung from the action on this model than, lets say, an AR platform. But, muzzle rise was a different story, almost eliminated, excellent stabilization.

  • You know it seemed kinda like it redirected more of the recoil straight back instead of up. Cool customization.

  • they work great. i can keep on target and not lose my sight picture on my ar15.

  • Without ear protecting that brake is a little hard on the ears, but it does make a huge difference as you've shown. Double taps are easy

  • good idea,i have the same on my ak47,i got it of an ak 74 it works great, better than the factory one
