He speaks like they're selling american history, not cars.
That doesn't make sense since the new Camaro was developed with alien technology, as we can see, or better saying, hear in this video when the car is running.

Take this car round the Nurburgring, and any half decent European or Japanese supercar will beat this one hands down, every day of the week!
But oh wait, this is an American muscle car. It's not meant to do corners, is it? :-P

You have no clue what you are talking about.
The Camaro SS did the ring in 8:20.
Going by whats on Wikipedia, a Lexus IS-F did it in 8:18, and a Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 did it in 8:22. So its definately not bad at all. And the Camaro is not claiming to be a supercar. For that, you need the Corvette ZR1, which had a time of 7:26.4. Thats ONE second slower than a Ferrari Enzo!
