Zwara

Zwara is a song sung in South Africa by a Sangoma to ask the ancestors (spirits) to come and heal the children.
Mabi (who sings this song) had two of his children and his daughter in law die in this year.
I asked him just before we started the track to perform a Sangoma intro, I didn't expect him to do what he did, as he had never done it before, it became his healing, after spending years trying to kick alcohol and smoking, which have been threatening his own life, he stopped.
It is the most amazing transformation I've seen on a stage, no fake, it is real.

I cannot imagine what it would feel like to undergo this, other than that it would most likely be extremely painful to renew the soul and battle the demons within. Admittedly, I was skeptical of the description posted with the video, but I grew to accept it as time went by.
