  • ok, when they were found, they didn't have life jackets anymore, n it was just stupid to tell the other guy to go ahead. duh

  • I thought it was stupid of them to ditch the boat in the first place and try to "swim for it".

  • but if the boat was sinking, what choice did they have?

  • The boat wasn't sinking, it just flipped upside down.

  • I see a few things wrong, did the owner should have checked for any flooding problems, and checked the battery. That boat is a coastal vessel. A 19 foot vessel must stay within 4 miles NOT 20 MILES from the coast. I don't care if you think if it is safe, your life is more important. A case of dumass syndrome.

  • I also thought that leaving the boat was not the most intelligent thing to do.

  • I hate when people stand around the scene of a trauma and blame the victim for what befell him.

Yesterday, we treated a man with three bullet wounds in his chest and one in his spleen; he was shot with a Tech 9.

While we were loading him, I heard these people asking what he did to make the perpetrator angry enough to shoot him.

I thought, Who the hell cares? The man's lying here dying, and you're worried about that?!

Calls resulting from crime are hardly ever the victim's fault.

  • Your chances of being found decrease by about 80% if you leave the boat. Capsized boats stay afloat a pretty long time and boats are way easier to see then people.

  • @IR0NMIDEN12 No, There are sharks in Gulf Of Mexico, Great Whites I think.

  • @JFrombaugh Well to start with, They had no VHF radio, Installed in the boat or portable, They also didn't have an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) No hand operated bilge pump, No Loran C, Boat probably didn't even have a compass.

  • @allgood2000 well if it flipped thats like sinking cause the boat was going under water

  • I wonder how those guys are doing today.

  • did they receive a electric shock?

  • this is like #612 except this one is just a regular segment.

  • Okay class, name four things they did wrong.

  • Sometimes they get so concerned that they freak out and lose touch of reality. Just hope Police are on scene to assist as that can really hinder patient care.

  • was it it possible for them to be eated by sharks? or was the gulf of mexico an area that sharks dont live in
