@MiddZzY and the type of knot that holds the two sticks together is called a reef knot. jus google it and it should make sense.

@MiddZzY sorry about the late response. this is my friends account and i havent checked the comments on this video for a while. I use dress shoe laces because they're much rounder and thinner than regular shoe laces. Makes for a much smoother rotation on the sticks. You can make it anyway you want really but i cut 4 lengths of lace about 4 inches each and make 4 loops out of them and burn the ends shut. Hard to explain but if you need more info just message me.
