Female Jaguar Cichlid Video I Made After Giving Her Tanks A Good Cleaning.
She's About 14" Long.
6 Years Old
The lighter spot on her head is from when she was about 3 inches long, She had a rock cave in her tank and got spooked, trying to go back to her cave to fast she hit her head on the edge of the cave, it took some scales off and they seemed to have never grown back..
She has always been Healthy and never has been sick with anything.
She has been solo since she was 5" since she tries to kill any other fish I put in with her.. I set her tank in front of a large mirror to give her some company :)

are these pretty ferocious cichlids?

@jakesterdude
It could be normal for the first week or so, but if it doesn't change soon after that, you might want to check everything that is going on with your tank.

Stunning Jag you got, I;ve just moved my pair to a 150 gallon and the male just seems to be sulking, lieing near the bottom and not eating, its really strange, has yours ever done this?

No, 75 gallon minimum

do you think a single jag would be okay in a 55 gallon tank by itself?

you dont have to worry about your fingers , i have a big jag also and I put my hand in with no problem, even if he does get curious n snips you youll be fine there not like wolf fish with hugh teeth and crazy powerful jaws.
