i recall this change, it was the last season and it ruined the show. i think they cancelled it before the regular season even ended, a rarity in those days.

@dsimmonsla As the show was running out of steam in the early sixties they tried a format change to entice new audiences. Vertually all of the regulars departed except for Efram Zimbalist who they turned into a gov. agent. Didn't work.

We visited 77 Sunset strip in 1961 and had a cocktail.It was fun.
