Construction continues on the Bob Barker Bear Habitat at the Performing Animal Welfare Society's (PAWS) ARK 2000 wildlife sanctuary in San Andreas, CA. Scheduled for completion in October of 2010, the spacious habitat features hilltop dens that will house the eight black bears currently residing at PAWS Galt, California, sanctuary.
Thank you Bob Barker for helping us provide the retirement that every captive animal deserves. Transportation for the bears' move from our Galt sanctuary to ARK 2000 is a gift from the Thorton and Katrina Glide Foundation.

Bob Barker, the great former host of "The Price Is Right"', had promised before leaving the show, that he planned to devote his full time to animal rights' projects. He is a man of his word. God bless you, Bob, for rescuing captive animals and helping them to heal. I miss seeing you on "Price", but I'm glad to know you are continuing to help our friends in the animal kingdom in so many creative ways.

This makes me sad. Happy for the bears as they will be enjoying their wonderful new enclosures, but sad that we will no longer be able to see our furry friends in Galt
