ok so whats the deal with me havin 18 sea shells and walkin into the mansion aren't i supposed to get like two one for collecting 5 and one for collecting ten

@B4413 To get the two seashells in the hut you have to enter when you have exactly 5 and/or 10 shells. If you go over the numbers then you miss them for good. There's about 25 shells in the game altogether so you've not missed out on the sword, you just need to find two more from elsewhere.

I think the idea of the shovel is that everything else is vital to the game.

The shovel is vital for one bit of the game but is just used for seashells afterwards. I'm sure in the original he only traded for the shovel.

Perhaps some people trade for the sheild, its not as if that gets much use either?

I'm assuming you can't trade away the sheild then buy another from the sot?

Just tested with the shield, he refuses to take it.

@adventlife oh thanks! down side to all this? when i turned the gameboy back on every file got erased so..it's like it never even mattered!! :/
