  • When you add the third term, aren't you changing the function so it would appear in a different place on a graph?

  • Yes, on the first three examples. Those are just for practice to see the relationship between the terms and coefficients. After that, when we solve equations, we are not changing the solution to the equation because we always add the same number to both sides of the equation.
