@MaestroTJS the cvt's are unstoppable, every test technician I've talked to was amassed they couldnt kill it. in 08 they did away with the cvt in favor of a bigger engine, a mistake in my book. I would personally look into the sho model and the ecoboost models

Does anyone have any personal experiences regarding reliability on this and the '08+ Taurus? I like everything about the car but have read some bad things regarding the transmissions....
I'm surprised no one has mentioned how similar it looks to the 1998-2005 VW Passat.
It seems they didn't do particularly well with the car, which is a shame. I would probably buy it for the safety factor alone.
