Haha, its a rubber band start. It was just a race at a local fair that they have once a year. The track gets torn down right after the race, so no point in a starting gate. Kind of sucks b/c some guys cheat! Oh well:)

So I'm 5 months late responding to this comment. Frankly I forgot I even put these videos up. And to answer your question... Ashley is actually a guy's name. It did not become a girl's name till the 1980s:P
