Though seriously he makes a good point. People who take the bible literally often dont' know what's in the bible. They pick and choose whatever passages best fit what they want to do anyway, ignoring what doesn't fit.
I mean yeah Jesus did turn the other cheek. He forgave his persecutors and said we must do the same.

and on the importance of the seperation of church and state (which is pretty much a joke in america because so many people in power like to blur the lines between the two)thomas jefferson said, "Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man."
the founding fathers saw that religion poisons a government and keeps it from being an impartial voice and nonjudgmental protector of the people. why do you think these men decided to create a state with religious freedom?

and the bible is full of contradictions and wicked statements endorsing irrational murders, slavery, beating slaves or wives, and poor treatment of women.
even if you are a christian, you cant deny that the bible says these things... the bible said that GOD SAID THOSE THINGS. it is not mocking the bible to point that out, its logical. its interesting how christians like to pick and choose things to that are convenient and pretend that some parts of the bible are not there.

f we really would get past the barrier of fear and comfort we have in just accepting what we are told about religion without really thinking, then we could begin to notice that the bible really is full of fucked up shit.
a god who at anytime condones slavery, rape, murder, and mistreatment of women truly is an abomination.
why would a perfect god commit such irrational human evil? because the bible was written by primitive men, not an all good, all powerful, and all knowing god.
