I just purchased an EV 630...great mic! I am surprised you haven't featured a Peavey Classic 20 with a 630.

Do you find the EV630 comfortable to grip? How does it compare to, say, a Shure 707a? How much of the tone is the amp versus the mic?

its ok ,when you sweat its not so good, if you have small fingers its great, the mic sounds great, the amp is ok, nothing special

Great tone - thanks for replying. One last question: it's the original EV630 element, or a substitute?
I'm glad I found your clip, as it happens I had decided to buy a 630 to go with all my astatic, turner and shure mics....

all original, please try the EV638 also, same look, great sound, but no on/off switch
