  • @bagg10101 | why out there and not right here?

  • It has so many amazing moments. I'm not a religious man, but music like this makes me think that there is a heaven out there after all.

  • I remember when this album first came out a lot of BOC fans didn't like the fact that they were using guitars. I wonder how those people feel now? Haha

Variations of the myth include Icarus flying too low to the water and being weighted down by moisture or Icarus falling overboard the boat that his father built (as opposed to him building wings). Either way, the moral is to do what your told to do in order to survive. Pushing the envelope is gambling with one's own life.

  • "Icarus is a character in Greek Mythology who loses his wings when he flies too close to the sun. Icarus and his father were imprisoned on an island and determined to escape by constructing themselves wings and flying from captivity. During their escape, Icarus deviated from the careful lead of his father, flying too high, where the sun melted the wax holding his wing’s feathers together. As a result, Icarus fell from the sky and drowned in the ocean below."

take the metaphor for what you will.

  • when i die, i hope i can hear this song as i drift away slowly. :)
