Jimi's Best solo !
The solo is from "Stone Free" Jan 1, 1970 Filmore East with Billy Cox on Bass and Buddy Miles on Drums/backing Vocals. There is no video of it so I dubbed it into the 1969 New Port Jazz Festival. Came out pretty good. I think this is Jimi's Best solo....your thoughts??

  • If that is the video that goes with that sound track it certainly isn't lined up in any way...

  • The best Hendrix guitar solo is Machine Gun, on the album Band of Gypsies.

  • It's my god

  • OOOOOPS!! Of course mrface19 EVERYBODY knows who David Gilmour and ESPECIALLY Pink Floyd......now THERE'S a band, "Dark side of the Moon" what?! The only way to listen to "Dark side of the Moon" is lying flat on your back on the bed in the dark.....Mmmmmmm!!

  • i hit the 8000th like :)

  • @gillypot1 DAVID GILMOUR!!!!

Haha... of Pink Floyd fame. Check out his solo in A Great Day For Feedom - Live In Gdansk on here.... that is a guitar singing..

  • You may think me woefully ignorant mrface19 but who is Gilmour? Please dont shout at me when you reply!!!

  • @gillypot1 I beg to differ... Hendrix did it first, for sure... but do you really think if he hadn't, nobody else would have thought of it??

He was of course amazing and one of my favourites... but for making it talk and weep, I'm going with Gilmour as the all time in that department. Just my humble opinion of course.

  • @bilotin Eddie Van Halen > Nobody.

  • @Lagomort you're getting to see Jimi and you're being a fuck-head...

  • Eventhough he wasnt a good player you still got to respect him

  • I was raving about Hendrix in a bar around 1995 and this woman asked me why she should care about someone that died before she was born. I saw Hendrix in 1969. I simply looked at the woman like she had lost her fucking mind.
