Me and my wife had this song on "repeat" 5 years ago when our son was born. Therefore it reminds me on this miracle of life, and the happiest night/morning of my life. Last year my wife passed away from cancer, and now this song reminds me on the "longtime sun" that will hopefully shine on the road ahead... Nice to hear this song again 5 years later :)

Thankyou very much Snatam and spaceoflove <3 Love, Light and Blessings
This song was originally written by Mike Heron of the Incredible String Band; it's not an old Irish blessing. This is an altered melody, but Mike Heron should be credited for the song. It originally appeared at the end of a very long song called "A Very Cellular Song" on the Incredible String Band album, "The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter."

@eksli Thank you for the comment ♥
„May the long time sun shine” came into the tradition of Kundalini Yoga, because band members of the
“Incredible String Band” attended a lecture with Yogi Bhajan in
London and donated this song to him during a talk they had with him afterwards.
The text “May The Long Time Sun...” was not
written by the “Incredible String Band”, but was used originally in Ireland in the middle
ages as a blessing for people, who started a long journey.
