I want you forever PART FOUR

I know its been almost a week, but here's part four! :D

"Where do we start?" Miley asked as Nick sat back down with a glass of water for her. He looked back at Miley and rubbed his hands together.
"June 25th. How about we start there." Nick addressed.
Miley picked at her bright red nail polish and played dumb, "What's special about June 25th?" she asked.
"Nuh-uh. Don't play dumb. You know exactly what's so special about that date. That is supposedly your anniversary with Liam. Remember saying that in countless interviews last year? Because I do, and how do you think that made me feel?"
"What did you want me to do?!" she shouted. "At the end of the summer, you basically dump me, AGAIN, I might add, and you expect me to be happy about it? I was getting back at you."
Nick shook his head, "I did NOT dump you. We both agreed on taking a break." Nick barked out. Without hearing Miley respond back, he started to back track.
"Didn't we? Wasn't that the deal? Take a little break. I had to tour Europe and film camp rock while you went on your Wonder World Tour. It was getting to get to hard to maintain our relationship so we decided to cool off for a while. I didn't know you'd go off and get another boyfriend!"
"What do you think 'taking a break' means, Nick? It's pretty much a step towards a breakup!" she yelled at him. "I was hurt and I didn't feel like being depressed over you all over again." She whispered.
Nick nudged her arm, "Hey, im sorry. I shouldn't have said we needed a break but you know where I was coming from right? We both were extremely busy and we never had time to be together. I hated letting you down so much when I had to text you saying I couldn't skype with you one night or I had press so I couldn't talk to you on the phone for very long. We both deserved more. All I asked for was a break between us until our schedules slowed down."
Miley looked straight forward, "So you wanted me to wait for you?" she asked just to make sure she was understanding him correctly.
"Yes," Nick confessed. "I was willing to wait for you."
"You could have told me," Miley confessed. "I would have understood it if you would have explained it that way. You called me one day saying we needed a break and the next thing I know, we were done talking. No more late night calls. No more texts that made me smile for hours. All of that was taken away from me and I was so sad. I needed a pick me up."
Nick took a sip of his diet coke and set it back down. "So that's where Liam came into the picture? He made you smile because I couldn't."
Miley looked over at nick and nodded. "At first it was nothing. We had fun and I could tell he was into me but I didn't want anything like that. I just wanted to have someone around since you weren't. When the media started to say we were a couple, I didn't deny it, even though I probably should have at the time."
Nick studied a coaster on the table and admitted, "You hurt me you know. We were still talking every now and I knew nothing about Liam, and then one day I have to hear from Joe that you are with a new guy. You're co-star Liam. Do you know how shitty I felt? Here I am, still completely oblivious to you moving on and you're with another guy. I was still waiting for the day I'd be able to see you again."
Miley closed her eyes and leaned back on the couch. "Look, we weren't official then. You could have called that day and asked straight up what was going on. I would have said nothing and broke whatever was going on with Liam that day. But you didn't. You stayed quiet, like always when something upsets you, and left me in the dark. When the texts and phone calls started to become less and less frequent, I figured you moved on. You found someone else, so that's what I decided to do. Me and Liam started to date for real and we became a public couple."
Miley studied Nick and continued, "At first it was fun. We walked out the door and didn't have to worry about someone snapping a picture of us being together because we didn't care if people knew we were together. With me and you, we always played coy and hid our relationship. I hated that. When a girl is in love, she wants to share it with the world. She wants everyone to know how happy she is. Which is what I did when I was with Liam. I made up that date because I knew it would piss you off. I knew it would get under your skin and you'd call me or text me or something and ask me about it, but you never did..."
Nick took a moment to process everything and replied back, "I would have but you seemed so happy. I didn't want to bring you back down. Going out with me was never easy, and I know that."

Miley blew out a sigh and countered back at Nick, "Okay, your turn."
