Chris Angelini of Tom's Hardware here. Just got Intel's Wireless Display technology set up in our home theater test environment. The configuration consists of a Dell Studio 15z notebook broadcasting to Netgear's Push2TV adapter, which is connected to a Samsung UN55B8000XF via HDMI. Overall, the quality is reasonable (though clearly lossy). Performance is as-advertised. The Netgear adapter is being bundled with three notebook models at Best Buy currently.

  • @sedohrable You need the software, yes.

  • @chrisangelini so i do need a disc

  • @sedohrable Yes, this tech is very much dependent on software. You should have it from the new system though, right?

  • PLEASE help me! i bought push2tv and cant figure out how to get intel wireless display?? i have a Toshiba L675 with intel core i3.. do i need some kind of disc? and where would i get this? thanks samson07@shaw.ca

  • @isjr24

Obviously, this intel wireless display is a gimmick. HDMI from the laptop to the TV is 100000x better.

  • Wouldn't it be better to just plug up an HDMI cable or is this better?

  • do a review of the 15z

  • @chrisangelini i dont know where my dad got it from.and even if it had the disc, it wouldnt matter because me and my mom have Eee PC laptop notebooks(or laptops with no disc drive)
