I hired this game from my local videoshop towards the end of '97. I thought it looked interesting, and I hadn't played an RPG before. Little was I to know just what lay ahead before me, and what other RPG's I was to enjoy after it. This game will never stop being special to me because it was the first.

:50-1:04 gives me chills. One of the greatest rpgs of all time, with one of the greatest ost's of all time

I was at the mall with my mom when I was 7. The games didn't look interesting. The lady showed us a couple of 5-10 dollar games they were going to throw out. My mom described it as a Japanese fighting game. I looked at the back cover. It looked awesome. Ya.. I think this was my first RPG.

@Strepsiades14945 It took me a while to get the hang of the battle system! And agreed with FF7 and the Suikoden series. Wonder if we'll ever see a sixth game?

@darkness0060 My first rpg too! I was hooked completely and I never looked back, FF7 I enjoyed it was great but this rocked my world completely. I will never grow bored or old with the suikoden series I wish so much they would bring them all back so we all can play them.

@darkness0060 Defeating the Bone Dragon to gain the HQ, and winning my first ever army battle out of sheer luck I was a poor at the rock paper scissors choosing strategy back then lol

My first RPG, the first video game i obsessed over, the first video game i replayed about 20 times, and the first video game that actually made me cry when i discovered it was on the PSN :)
