  • I think this guy has ultimate creativity and his music is iconic and stands the test of time. However, I think it's unfair of some posters to decry current artists - there's many good ones around to be fair.

  • He could've pretty much stopped after Ommadawn, and easily secured his genius. His music makes me weep, in a VERY good way.

  • @Talisdream agreed, i cannot stomach another beyonce, jayz or any other crap rap hip hop bollocks, this is real music for real people

  • ele é um mago i love his songs and i wonder were does he came from cant be just england , i think from the esferas

  • The more you grow tired of today's robotic music (made by robots for robots...), this is where you'll end up. In the mid 1970s, Mike Oldfield was recording in total isolation in the Welsh hills, divorced from external and commercial influences, with every note wrung out in a genuine labour of love. It really was mind-blowing stuff!

  • to me oldfield is the greatest musician alive, his rare musical passion is an inspiration to the world really

  • how cute he was !

  • this what a true genius is, not like all of the shit nowadays. he is quite reserved but he shows he's feelings true the amazing music...

keep up the good work Mike !

  • Well, in the case of M. O., he has stated several times that at that time he was a regular consumer...

  • yeh u know, tht cud so easily av bn a roll-up....not all musicians smoked dope u know
