Cthulhu Lovecraft punk rock band Darkest of the Hillside Thickets plays their song "Shhh..." (available for download for the video game Rock Band) at Tony Starlight's in Portland, Oregon, as part of the HP Lovecraft Film Festival on October 4, 2008.

Eh, 'From Beyond' was pretty good, as were bits of whatever film they did of 'Charles Dexter Ward'. I'm holding out for a LOTR-budgeted 'Kadath'.

Ten years ago when I heard that they are doing "Lovecraftian" music I thought they were a jazz ensemble, not a rock group. First time I've heard them, and it doesn't sound very much like what Lovecraft wrote about. An oppressive emotion over all, not the modern stupid hollywood movies. Even back in the 1930s Lovecraft hated the movies because they were inane. Only movie that is good is silent movie made a few years ago of Call of Cthulhu.
