@INaneek true. with ufc gloves , with a strong punch , you easily feel the knuckles right on your jaw like there was no gloves. however personnally id say boxing gloves gets you more stun than mma gloves but less damage

This video is stupid , there not looking at it in the right perspective. its like comparing a sword to a bat. they both generate the same impact but what will do more damage, obviously a sword. same thing with this, more hardness with ufc gloves therefore more damage.

YOU ARE A COMPLETE RETARD AND THIS VIDEO IS STUPID, THAT'S AGAINST A BAG. MMA GLOVES HAVE LITTLE PADDING SO THE KNUCKLES HIT THE HEAD AND BOXING GLOVES THERE'S ALOT OF PADDING IN THE GLOVE THAT CUSHIONS THE FIGHTER'S HEAD. and how can you say they have no power and glass chins u obviously know nothing about mma

@caml17 There really isn't much difference in the thickness of padding around the point of impact on both gloves. The boxing gloves do weigh more but the padding is spread more. The reason the gloves are smaller in MMA is not because the fighters are somehow tougher but because they are designed for grappling as well as striking.

@thnk4urself Not really much difference. Pro fighters wear 8oz gloves so they are not the 16oz pillows you are thinking of. The padding is actually spread all over the boxing glove not around the point of contact.
'boxing gloves are so big all you have to do is hold them up and you'll probably deflect punches'
LOL!!! If that is the case no boxer would ever get hit!
Also you should note that gloves are to protect the hands not the head.

how is that possible his left hook was twice as hard at 1291 pounds

obviously it doesn't mean getting hit with a boxing glove is as dangerous, it isn't. First of all, a boxing glove is larger, that force is spread over a larger area and does less damage, second, MMA gloves are smaller and lighter, therefore punches can be thrown faster and more accurately. Thirdly, MMA gloves can sneak through a fighters defenses much more easily than a boxing glove. boxing gloves are so big all you have to do is hold them up and you'll probably deflect punches

what they don't realize is that force is different than impact. Force is obviously the same as it is the same punching movement. The boxing glove has less impact because of the greater cushioning. A large force will not knock someone out, a large impact will.
