Thank you. The model involved is Bissell Vacuum cleaner. model92L3-C. Instead of screws, there are four clips holding the cover which you have to lift up. francis_lamoye@yahoo.com. October 17,2011

QUESTION: Are most belts standard sized to fit most vacuums? Anyone?
jungillest 7 months ago
@jungillest No. There are dozens and dozens of vacuum belt sizes and styles on the market. It's true that one vacuum belt type and size is usually designed to fit several vacuum models, but matching the correct belt to a vacuum must be done on a case-by-case basis with the vacuum's model number. You can use our website's part finder at eReplacementParts*com to quickly find the right belt for your vacuum model. Also, you may find our our Vacuum Belt Buying Guide article very helpful.

@jungillest We just placed the url link to that Vacuum Belt Buying Guide article in the description of this video page, underneath the link to the repair article for this video. Great question! Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Thanks for the help! My parents left on vacation and, wouldn't you know it, no sooner do I start to clean the house for their return than the belt breaks. I had never changed one before and was at a loss for what to do, but this video was extremely helpful and I was able to fix it quickly; thanks again! :)
