Hi i made some changes to the X230 normally i dont buy such small speakers
so i found the bass is missing and the port on the box was shit.
So i took the amp out cut some wires made a hole in a old 8inch sub box
put the amp there then i connected the power inside (had to cut in the original box to get it out)
Made a good port for the sub i nailed the box shut :P and tested some music on it.
Even with a crappy fake iphone thingy it got some good sound :).
More pictures about how it's dun etc are coming soon.

  • The music is just random for showing it the cheap system sounds overal good with most types of music

And i listen to what ever i want atleast im not brainwashed by todays shit music

  • looser music

  • @shockflyyer3d

    maybe this wil help you

    loseloose DOT c o m

  • how many ohm is z4 sub?

  • im not sure

remember the z4 has a 4inch sub the on in front is a passive radiator

if you want to have a better sub in your z4 buy a cheap 8inch and remove the inside wood made for the 4inch woofer

and buy a bass tube i did the same just for fun

it sounds thousand times better and more bass offcourse

the amp in the z4 is pretty good and the voice speaker are excellent much better than the x230 ones

  • nice bro! sounds killer! lol i have the same computer speakers

  • Haha thanks man.

I recently updated the subwoofer with a very good jvc 8inch woofer and a nice ported box.

Will be uploading a video soon.

  • how many watts is that sub, im looking to buy a 8 inch 100w sub for my x540 system to put in a custom box. wonder if the standard x540 amp will power it. any ideas?

  • A cheap 12 or 10 inch can work also.

But subwoofers wit high excursion liek a tangband will need to much power and this amp cant give that much.

Btw this is a shitty 8inch sub iam gonna buy a new 8inch with bigger excursion.

  • Yes it is but a sub like a tangband from a z2300 system is to powerful.

A simpel 8inch is powerd easy.

I tested also some 10 and 12inch but the amp get overheated then and it will sound ugly @ higher volume.
