eine Beleidigung für den Spitzentanz

aw thats so cute i love ppl with DS! i cant believe anyone would criticize them! just because she has a disability doesnt mean she shouldnt dance whatever she wants. and like others have pointed out, every sport has dangers so if youre complaining, or criticizing or whatever, shut up and go to hell.:)

@stacylive2dance i think she did great too,i'm sure your daughter is a great horseback rider:) I'm sorry that she has that

@beccahize Yes she could injure herself, but so can ANY dancer on pointe!!!! She is amazing & I am very proud of her and her parents and the dance teachers who have given her the chance to do ballet!! Good for you. My daughter has Downs and is a great athlete. She has even participated in her high school's varsity bowling team. Don't cut the video apart for style and technique....step away and truly "look" at the accomplishment! Downs people can & do have balance issues & doing this is awesome.

This young lady is INCREDIBLE!! Children/people with Downs are not a label but humans like you and I! And they will and DO accomplish things us "regular" or "normal" people do or might not even attempt to take on, and have a heart of gold and love unconditionally! And to people if you cant say anything nice or supportive then dont say anything............

this made made smile:)

@stacylive2dance Because people would probably want to know her story, maybe? If someone saw me dancing poorly, they would probably just think I'm a terrible dancer. But if they knew I had arthritis in my spine beforehand, they would view my dancing in perspective. Knowing that she has Down's makes her accomplishments more impressive.

Aw! She did so well!! Bravo!

@Nadirahdances "I dont see anything that our young dancer does that would cause harm to herself" there are multiple things as TheDancingWriter pointed out in which i agree with to being a concern.there is very little room for error when on pointe in order to not become seriously injured.
As a dancer this is painful to watch due to her technique, lack of precision and coordintation.I'm suprised she didnt injure herself she really should NOT be on pointe, just one fall will injure her and make recovering soo much harder b/c she has down syndrome but considering she is pretty talented for someone who is not the norm for dancers.Proud of her and her teachers, etc.

it hurts me that u put on the Tag girl with downs syndrome on pointe shoes?? come on do we still have to use terms for people with disabilities ?? i have a daughter with mild CP and she has been dancing for over 7 yrs and she competes in horseback riding English as well as western ,,,she is NOT a label but a very special person who just has to work harder at things!! i think this young lady did an excellent job and BRAVO to teachers across the country for having special needs classes!! YEAH
