There was a very famous Jessie Mae. Jessie Mae Hemphill the grand daughter of Sid Hemphill. She was a fabulous performer/writer/guitarist and most willing to greet/talk with fans when they arrived at her door. Sadly she passed a couple years ago. Johnny....that is who the song is about, correct? Great performance man.
