Und wenn er es denn geschafft hat, dann rechne doch mal bitte Jemand den Footprint dieser einen Weltumrundung aus. Also inkl. Entwicklung & Bau des Flugzeuges, Begleitflieger, techn. Support, Presserummel, Beleuchtung im Museum, wo der Flieger nachher hängen wird, bis hin zu den Views hier auf Youtube. Mit so einem gewaltigen Footprint könnte man in einem normalen Passagierflieger die Erde 10'000mal umrunden!
Nix gegen technische Innovation, aber das da ist Resourcenverschwendung!

Es ist wohl kein Geheimnis das BP gigantische Profite mit Öl macht und nur minimal in regenerativen Sektoren. Mag sein das BP auch Solarmodule herstellt, aber das wohl nur aus Imagegründen.

BPsolar (BP - British Petrol): Stellt PV-Module her, vertreibt Wechselrichter (u.a. SMA) und betreibt weltweit viele PV-Groß-Analgen im mehr stelligen MW Bereich. BP ist im ganzen "alternativen" Energiemarkt unterwegs, seit über 35Jahren.

(1) Why do we love flying?
(2) Why do we want to build solar powered aeroplanes?
(3) What idea and social principle does this solar powered aeroplane promote and campagin?
(4) How will we feel if we can see the shining sun in our entire journey of flying?
