FORGIVING a Lecture by Anwar Al Awlaki

In the Name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

Bismi LLAhi Rrahmanni Rraheim.

All the praises are due to Allah Subhana Llah Taalah. May the Peace and Blessings be upon the beloved Prophet Muhammad.
As human beings we are responsible, but we do also make mistakes and we are constantly in need of forgiveness. Islam speaks about two aspects of forgiveness:
a) Allahs forgiveness;
b) Human forgiveness.
We need both, because we do wrong in our relations to Allah as well as in our relations to each other.

A. Allahs Forgiveness:

Allah subhanahu Wa Taala is the most Forgiving so as his prophet Muhammad (May Peace Be Upon Him).

On the authority of Anas, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah say:

Allah the Almighty has said:
"O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me,
I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind.

O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you.
O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as its.
"related by Al-Tirmithi "

In one Hadith the Prophet -peace be upon him- said that Allah has commanded him about nine things. One of them he mentioned was that I forgive those who do wrong to me.

Dear brother, Dear sister do you forgive each others?
