Since emerging from 14 years of war in 2003, Liberia has made rapid progress on democracy, media freedom and education.
But now the biggest threat to the country's recovery is unemployment.
As Al Jazeera's Dan Nolan reports from Monrovia, the problem is being compounded by the return of thousands of refugees.
Must be a dismal place to be. Don't they have any natural resources to trade? I truly wish them the best and hope they remain peaceful. All these senseless wars on the continent, not worth it one bit.

Am Amazed!!! Some or most of those people took up arms and destroyed their country. Now they are complaining that they lacked job opportunities and are unable to take care of their families. Talk about screw-up priorities.

The first black republic in the world was the Quilombos de Palmares. It was located in South America consisting of runaway slaves and was eliminated by the portuguese in 1600's

It was such a senseless war, too. These people created their own problems.
