this album was conceived by Wilson, using inspiration from rubber soul. In turn the Beatles drew influence from this fantastic album when creating Sgt. Peppers. Both incredible bands with a profound and lasting impact on music, culture and society. No need to argue over superiority, I'm sure the bands themselves would have encouraged you to listen to what you yourself enjoy, simultaneously letting others do the same. peace

When this was re-issued in stereo it was one of those "blown away" moments for me. It takes a lot to impress me but this album did just that, twice. Once in the mid sixties and again in stereo later. I understand that Brian could only hear correctly in one ear but damn, does this sound good in stereo!
