El Dr. Viteri de Humana Vision realiza cirugia de Catarata en un caso complejo con Pseudoexfoliacion y nucleo muy duro. Requiere tincion de capsula con azul tripan, fractura con Ultrachopper de Escaf y Prechop de Akahoshi para minimizar tension sobre capsula y zonula.

Procede a emulsificacion utilizando Wobbler Tip de Akahoshi-ASICO (recto, punta cuadrada, bisel invertido) que permite remover los fragmentos con Ultrasonido Torsional exclusivamente, de una manera eficiente y segura. Finalmente implanta un lente intraocular multifocal ReSTOR-3D

Dr. Viteri performs Phacoemulsification in a dense cataract with Pseudoexfoliation. The procedure consists of Capsular stain with trypan blue, nucleus fracture with Ultrachopper (Escaf), completed with Prechopper (Akahoshi) to minimize capsular and zonular stress.

The hard nuclear segments are emulsified using a prototipe of the Wobbler Tip designed by Akahoshi-ASICO (straight, squared tip, bevel down) that allows the surgeon great eficiency and safety by taking advantage of the Torsional Ultrasound generated by an Alcon Infiniti System. Finally a Multifocal ReSTOR-3D Intraocular Lens is implanted.

The Ultrachopper allows the surgeon to create a very deep groove by pushing the tip vertically towards the posterior pole. Then you can introduce the Akahoshi Prechopper until you touch the bottom of the groove before opening the blades. In this way you only excert a minimal tension to fracture the nucleus.
