Zdravo! When I was in Kosovo with KFOR 1999-2000 my team leader taped this footage. We lived in this village for 6 months, guarding a Serbian Orthodox church, conducting patrols, weapons searches etc. The kids would call me Gonzo....I would practice my Serbian with them as much as I could...though most of it is forgotten now. I would break out my Serbian/English translation book and recite funny, senseless phrases to make them laugh. From our perimeter we would pass the time talking to the kids and giving them candy and stuff...winning hearts and minds I suppose. These kids lived through a very traumatic and troubling time. This footage is from the village of Mogila in SE Kosovo. It is a Serbian (Christian) and Albanian (Muslim) mixed town. Watching these kids laugh, play, and give us rude gestures is a testament to the resiliance of the human spirit. Mogila, I have not forgotten you...you will be in my heart forever.

Very nice from Americans. Concentracion camp for Serbian kids under american guardians. I dont konw are these kids lucky or not. They survived sorunded wiyh Albaninas and their american friends. You guy must be very proud on your tour of duty in Serbia? You got Purple Heart? Any luck in killing Yugoslavian/Serbian soldiers? Or kids?
You have done good deeds for these children in Kosova. However, even a harmless video such as this attracts arguments from Albanians and Serbs. Stop the fighting before it is too late people!
