@BLACKSUNR1SE I get what you mean. especially when whole vocal lines are missing. There is a fine line between viceral impassioned performance and drug induced incompetence; like Jimi hendrix, some of his last performances were a travesty and he is practically a musical god to me.

@DISSODANTS i get the difference. i too have seen them live several times. it is fun and impassioned, no doubt...but it would be nice to have a little of the sonic qualities and control he brings to the recordings to be present live...that's my opinion.

@BLACKSUNR1SE I'm not looking to pick a stupid youtube tiff, but personally I feel this performance is Deftones in the most pure form. If anything, the studio versions are so clean you lose the real raw essence of the band, which is really rough and violent; it's not for everyone but I've seen them live many times and it might be shocking at first because it doesn't sound like the CD, but I actually think it's suits the sound better. in the end its my opinion and I'm throwing it out there
