Legend is an understatement for Frank Oz. They have to make up a word just for him and that still wouldnt be good enough.

As a performer/puppeteer in New York, this is incredibly interesting! Thanks for sharing this!

doing the Muppets must have been insanely hard, especially in the beginning...their hard work paid off.

Since you mentioned Egon, here's some trivia from 1984. When Frank Oz was directing and filming The Muppets Take Manhattan, another movie was being filmed in New York City at the very same time, which became a big 80s franchise. It was Ghostbusters. During that time, Frank made his acquaintances with the Ghostbusters cast, and got to work with Rick Moranis and Bill Murray in his two following films he directed; The Little Shop of Horrors, in 1986, and What About Bob?, in 1991.

does anyone think Egon from ghostbusters sort of sounds like this guy?

Wow, what a treasure! Did that local cable series film those behind the scenes sequences too, or did you grab them from someone else and got permission to use them?
