A time-lapse view of us pressing the new Trackable Clay TikiCoins. Each coin begins its life as a ball of clay that is pressed into a plaster mold by our home-made tile press. While in the mold, the coin is stamped two times - first with a "trackable at geocaching.com" stamp, then with a unique serial number. The serial number stamp is a HUGE alpha-numeric rotary stamp that had to be re-set and triple checked for each TikiCoin (you may notice we spend most of the time at the stamp/number list station). Once the coin is stamped, we pop it out of the mold and carefully clean up any bubbles or defects before placing it on the rack to dry. We did 400 coins - 100 of each design.
