  • The fact of the matter is much of Godavari water is merging in to sea and polavaram is meant to make use of small percent of that. It was proposed during British days. Even after its construction there would be enough water in Godavari if government finds an economical way of lifting waters to irrigate lands in Telangana districts

  • Applying the hollow logic of this person can we term the waters in Sriramsagar belong to Maharashtra as the project is near our border with Maharashtra?

  • Polavaram is the only location where Godavari flows through gorge and it is the best location for construction of gravity dam. Can this person recommended construction of such a dam anywhere between Sri ram sagar and Polavaram? Why do you think all irrigation projects proposed in Telangana are lift irrigation type? Irrigation water is not free water and it is most economical to use in low lying delta areas near the sea. If it involves lifting to great heights costs will outweigh benefits

  • Deltas all over the world have natural advantage to receive water and no engineer can go against the nature whether it is godavari delta or krishna delta or Kaveri delta or Nile delta. Even in Egypt the catchment area of Nile is in Sudan, upland areas of Egypt which is a desert with little rain but it is the delta which makes use for better purpose. Then he talks about polavaram Vs Chevalla without telling viewers that chevalla-pranahita project involves lifting of water requiring 4000 mw power

  • This is total farce. Just because the person happens to be working in Irrigation(we don't know what sub department of Irrigation) and comes up with a map at office and some technical terms, he need not be trusted. Any civil engineer knows that catchment area has little basis in allocation of waters all over the world. He is talking about catchment area but not the volume of river water flows. Godavari until the merger of Sabari,Indravati, Machkund has little flow in lean season

  • its is high time to kick out Andhras.

  • Hello discovertelangana, I have posted this video on my site. I hope it is ok with it.

I will remove the video off my site if you want it so. Thanks, Sridhar.

  • Of the 80 tmcft water, from Polavaram Karnataka will get 21 tmcft, to be utilised in Bidar and other parched areas of northern parts of the State.

Of the remaining 59 tmcft, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh will get 14 tmcft and 45 tmcft of water respectively.

  • Thanks for revealing truth about Jalayagnam in a technical way; every guy living in combined AP should now these facts. Andhra politicians and administrators joined together and killing us in professional way and cold blooded killers. They are squeezing Telangana blood, water, funds and jobs. We must get our state and kick Andhra looters and we must respect people who does not know these facts and does involve in this looting.

I request Sridhar to explain facts about Krishna river as well.

  • this video is clear indication of why andhra/seema people are fighting for united state. to divert water from telanagana to their regions.. sad but educated people in telangana dont know the complete facts and supporting united state.. if we stay united telanagana will be desert.. now or never ..enough of this diversion of water..they are habituated to that an dthey want to continue that for ever..
