Interview with Sybil Wilkes from The Tom Joyner Show

Grand Bahama Island - The Bahamas Weekly brings you an exclusive interview with Radio News Anchor and personality, Sybil Scott from the Tom Joyner show recorded on Sunday, February 17th from the suites of Pelican Bay Hotel.

Wilkes was in Grand Bahama for the prequil to the "Island Heart Beats Experience", of which her Florida-based company, Turquoise Water Productions is running as a new annual event for Grand Bahama Island that will be held each year over Valentines Day and will give African-American women the chance to "take their hearts on vacation". In this video Wilkes discusses how she heard about and got involved in the event, and then shares her experience of the 'prequil' weekend enjoyed in Grand Bahama.

The face behind the "voice of reason" on the Tom Joyner Morning Show belongs to Sybil Wilkes. Her knowledge and insight brings a logical point of view to the show, but don't be fooled. She can get caught up in the humor as much as the rest of the crew.

This native Chicagoan began her radio career in 1985 at WKQX-FM, Chicago. She eventually went on to news management and reporting jobs at WINK-AM/FM, Fort Myers, Florida; WRCC-FM, Cape Coral, Florida; and WCKZ-FM, Charlotte, North Carolina.

In 1989, Wilkes joined WGCI-AM/FM, Chicago, as a talk show host. In 1990 she became a reporter for Chicago's Shadow Traffic Network. While with Shadow, Wilkes delivered morning and afternoon drive traffic updates and worked as one of Tom Joyner's WGCI-FM sidekicks.

Independent is just another way of saying you can't keep a man. Stuffing your face and then wanting a man to see your inner beauty is bullshit. Unhealthy lifestyle is nothing to be promoted. All you fellas on here Big breast only look good on slimmer women. Big girls with big breast equal back pain. You never want that on top of you.
