This is a Documentary I made a few years ago while I attended Vancouver Film School.
Sexual Abuse is a very important issue that does not get enough attention in our society. You would be amazed by the number of women young and old who have been victims of various forms of sexual abuse.
I myself am a victim, I have family members and many friends who are victims. We need to stop hiding and speak out against sexual abuse.
There is help out there and there is hope.
thank u for giving a voice to so many who are too scared to speak out themselves. i can relate very personally to this and i know the pain these women went through. i can't remember who said it but it went along the lines of rape being called the 'lesser murder'. that speaks true to me in my own experience because it like the murder of one's spirit and one's hope. the only thing u can do is try to find someone to talk to about it. because staying silent ends up only causing more problems.

As long as survivors of sexual abuse remain quiet then the offender is in control. It doesn't matter how many years as long as the survivor says nothing the offender is free to do the same to others and they absolutely don't care about others' feelings. What they do has nothing to do with sex, it has everything to do with power and control. I say this because i spoke out about 30 years ago and have never regretted it. I am now 62 yo
