Beatles version was, of course, great but there's something a little more appealing about the lyrics coming from a female like Annette that just drives me wild! I LIKE IT!
Thanks for sharing this!

Wow! She is amazing. I just want to cry when I think of the quality and class that has gone out of popular music. God Bless Annette.

What a treasure! I love her. Annette Funicello represents the most talented and the best of an entire generation of Americans.

I wish Buena Vista would re-release every Annette album

@davisracquet Fifty years? Man, If you had transported me from 1963 to here, and then switched on the TV and the 'music' stations... I would wonder what planet they'd taken me to.. God bless General Patton and all who are like him.

hope you had a great birthday!

@SixTailights Which chords? If your talking about the strumming. He is double strumming. Move your wrist twice has fast as a regular down and up and down strum. Now do it real fast. Watch the video on my site of the Beatles doing it. Scan my favorites for the Beatles. Watch John doing it.

Four of us did this number in my college variety show.

I love Annette ... but how about that guitar!? I can't tell how he changes chords so fast! I've been looking for this album but it's too expensive. Does anyone have "Little Blue Ballroom?" - it's supposed to be her stab at the Four Seasons' sound.

I never knew she covered a Beatles song, and very well I might add. what I wouldn't give to have Annette in vogue once again. If you can't rhyme swear word after swear word ad nauseum you can't have a hit these days. I'd rather the youth of America listened to this than the crap that passes for music today.

I AM fairly certain that her last album for Buena Vista was
ANNETTE SINGS GOLDEN SURFIN HITS released in 1965. This song is of course from
"Something Borrowed, Something Blue" released in 1964 to coincide with her upcoming marriage. I wish I could find a stereophonic copy, the LP copy I have is mono. ALL HER LP's need to have a CD Presentation for ANNETTE is truly on of a kind!

Can you re-ost the song but this time don't cut it off at the end? That would really be great.

Are you not hearing the entire song? I hear the last chord when I play it.
