They basically sit you in the center of a circle (them)and all take turns tearing you apart verbally. I'm sure they do other psychological abuse, too. Seriously, in the intentional community community, these guys are bad news. I've spoken with a lot of ex-Zendiks, most of whom say stay away.

Interesting structures. Do you have to deal with building permits, engineering, and all the rest of the bureaucratic rigamarole? We have lots of problems with the county building department where I live.

did u go through therapy? what was it like? what is the process?

the fact that golf courses were their new neihbor still sounds like an odd reason to move the community
seems to me that + all the work they've done to the land would make it prime relestate
could that be why they move every so often?
houses looked great btw

truly inspiring! i too plan on combining the eco friendly elements with the aesthetic aspect of architecture in the future homes i will design.
Zendik Farm is a cult. They post these videos showing the normal aspects and cool aspects of themselves. But you should see how they do "therapy" out there at the farm. Scary stuff. Believe me.

was very disappointed with the statement that most ecological architecture is not aesthetically pleasing, Building a rustic log cabin doesnt constitute a sustainable building. it closes its eyes to the various advantages of new materials and building methods employed in modern sustainable structures and their fusion with timeless tactics employed by mankind. I dont believe you have the educational formation to make this kind of asessment. This attitude does more damage than good.
