How can you compare Super Mario Bros 2 to Super Mario Bros 2? Well, the American version, and the Japanese version, that's how! The most simple way I can put this is: Doki Doki Panic Vs. The Lost Levels.
0:06 - It's actually more-or-less the other way around
0:36 - While I was writing notes for what to put into my review, this happened, and I was reminded of the Angry Video Game Nerd's review of Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4we8iFk-fY
0:53 - IT WORKS, it doesn't have depth, there's not a lot you can do with it, it just, works
1:21 - This isn't the best example, but while I was test playing the game, the heart ended up in a side wall where I couldn't touch it.
2:50 - From the Angry Video Game Nerd's review of TMNT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjUz8IT0CYg
2:56 - The Ending credits shows all of the enemy names
3:42 - This is from Cloud8745's run of I wanna Be the Guy
4:11 - I can't remember exactly why I'm this quiet
4:16 - "Which has absolutely no update at all, it's still in low quality and it has no new songs in it whatsoever"
4:21 - I forgot to mention that Doki Doki Panic's music is the Shit
6:22 - I'm not pulling any punch, bullshit reasons are bullshit
6:37 - I forgot to mention that Pokey's make a comeback in Super Mario World
6:54 - He's also a Plagiarizing fake-gamer who bought his way into fame. Also note the Coin glitch

  • mario bros 2 the lost levels is way better what are u thinking

  • @NFvideos101

That different ideas lead to a newer, fresher experience that can be enjoyed more than a more familiar format that may have been played out by the user.

  • i know what u mean but fuck da game! i hate it! so what lost levels is hard!?

u ARE aware that this is an exact clone of doki doki panic! EXACT BITCH! This game is horrible because doki doki panic exists! i know it goes with the story because peach is saved and toads are saved luigi is.... back .....from the.... dead? but if its a clone, its bad. if you have a clone, you are better than that clone!

  • That is the stupidest logic I've heard in a long time. That's like saying Not Smoking or Drinking are bad habits because Hitler did neither one.

  • Shigeru Miyamoto was more involved in Doki Doki Panic than he was in Mario 2 Lost Levels. He's the reason the starman appears in the original Doki Doki Panic, as well as the POW blocks and warps.

  • both games are great. but withouth doki doki panic there wouldn't be picking up things, some enemies, and more playable characters

  • @ChampDinga are you aware that doki doki is a clone of the mario 2 beta that never got used. doki doki is technically the origenal mario 2

  • you took audio straight from the angry video game nerd..thats low

  • actually the "doki doki panic" version is the real SMB2, but Fuji TV wanted nintendo to make a game called "yume koujou doki doki panic", so nintendo made lost levels at the last minute so that there would be a "super mario 2". but when nintendo of america didn't like lost levels, nintendo went back to the original prototype of smb2 and released it in america. but nice review!

  • where do you get the game footage from?

  • @Carlitonsp1 I gotta disagree here. The original SMB is really easy. I would say Mario 2 plays out the traditional format. It pushes it to it's limits requiring near perfection in spots to pass. Especially the 5 hidden worlds. As someone who experienced the latter part of the 80's (not saying you didn't don't know your age) there were still plenty of people captivated by the original SMB in 1988.

  • @ChampDinga SMB2 was our version of DDP. It was never released in it's original form outside japan so your logic doesn't follow. You either like DDP or M2. It's all opinion. I like M2 better but that's because I'm OCD and a an awesome mario gamer. The repeating isn't a problem for me.

  • Lol ya I agree

  • @Carlitonsp1 Did the Angry Video Game Nerd really reveiwed SMB2.

  • I kept thinking the AVGN made a Mario 2 review, but then I was like... No wait.. That's the TMNT review!!
