he uses ableton for his live shows, but he uses FL Studio to produce, either way it might clear things up a little if you specify that this is for live use?

I can't see where you are coming from. Legato mode is not limited to live use and this video is not all about Madeon... so why should i bother specifying when and when not he uses legato?

You must be good friends with Madeon. Tell him I said hi! But in all seriousness, using Legato isng "cheating" and he does use it. As does deadmau5 and others. But its not ALL legato... its legato then FINE TUNING manually. Can you wrap your head around that or is it too much to handle?

if all the clips are looped it does not matter at all it just picks up where it would be if the clip had looped X amount of time. X being how long you have been playing the clips.

Fucking brilliant tutorial. First time I'd looked into this technique and your nailed the explanation.

for anyone saying it's cheating or whatever there is obviously a lot more work to go in to a track after this 10 minute video. This is just the BEGINNING but the possibilities seem pretty exciting.
