@mariahforever1990 Look at all of Christina's live renditions of I Turn to You, for example. Bad placement and high larynx makes hitting F5s difficult, and she often sounded thin, pinched, and cracked on such notes. Eventually she started dodging this note on her performances. Compare this with in-prime Mariah, who absolutely could hit notes with strong technique and neutral larynx, but just took it easy to maintain her chords, which had nodules that she had as a kid.

@mariahforever1990 My argument is based on something a tad different than just dodging one note. I've heard these Regine stans before, but I know how stupid they are, because even though she doesn't dodge Mariah, she does high belts with a high larynx and awkward vocal placement. Christina, on the other hand, has a very long history of either dodging, straining, or failing to hit upper chest belts in countless performances. Watch some of her recent Lady Marmalade performances to see my point.

@TheZenomeProject you sound just like those regine v stans who say all of regine's mariah covers are better because she didn't have the songs taken down live like mariah did. performing this song isn't about hitting all the notes. dodging one high note doesn't completely ruin the performance just like demi's crazy and OOC falsetto notes didn't completely ruin hers :)

@SuperPianogirl123 This may be the wrong video to do this on LMAO. Understand that she was only 13 or 14 when she covered XTina, and her technique was, let's put it this way, less than optimal. Though, I will say this: Demi's cover kills any of Christina's live renditions by a long shot. Because unlike Ms. Aguilera, she doesn't dodge upper chest belts LMAO.
