@sandalveda As I said before, just because Manchester United is owned by an American it does not make it an American football team (soccer for our transatlantic cousins). This car is designed, manufactured etc.. in the UK and more importantly in my mind England.

The economy is now worldwide. India will catch up, it will and will surpass China, USA etc.. I am sure of it!

To say that TATA are not an engineering company is like saying Jaguar manufacture tampons! If you indeed work for Jag, it would be wise to learn a little something about your bosses! Especially what they do. (Are you a janitor at the factory?!)

@sandalveda Britain done everything on that car....Ta Ta are not a engineering company they know jack shit about cars....they are a holding company they go round the World buy companies and give them financial backing and make them profitable...I'm not saying Ta Ta have made Jaguar a force to be reckoned with once again...they gave us funding so we could compete.

@harishthiru The XJ was actually the last of the the Ford Jaguars. At least, it was started and develpoed under Ford, before they sold it it Tata.

Well, we don t deny about what Britain did on that car. However, i said British management failed to position that car, that means ...that management's marketing strategy failed in marketing that product. And the old jaguar is history. Now it is renounced as BIG JAG !!! Which is capable to compete with Benz, BMW or Audi A8. British Automobile units are not doing good, is an undeniable fact.

@sandalveda Because they lacked funding to compete.....now they have funding they can compete.....Jaguar is designed in Britain and by British people...TA TA just gives it financial backing...I work for Jaguar and there is no Ta Ta involvement in the production of cars they leave it to us to do...because we know best.

You would rather think about why British sold this car company ? What happend to their professional marketing techiques ? Why can t the stick in the market ?This car was unable to compete with Merc, BMW & Audi. They were just a revel for Volvo or VW. Now the class has changed and its totally a car for upper crest.
