A 3-speed, wow, do you ever feel that there are not enough gears? Regardless, still a nicer car in my opinion than many of the 7- and 8-speed luxury cars of today, you have good taste.

@JaSt321 No this car has enough power to have only 3 gears, it is very relaxed. For speeding or drag racing it could better use a manual 4 or 5 gear of course, but that is not what the car was made for. I never drove a car that felt better shifting and driving :-)

eine frage an die experten hier: kann man einen 280er W116 auch im alltag bewegen so wie ein W123 ? mit einer LPG könnte man ja das verbrauchsproblem in den griff bekommen. aber wie sieht es mit ersatzteilen etc. aus ?

@Chr0mbenz ja geht gut. teile gibt es noch alle, vielleicht ein wenig schwieriger wie vom W123 aber kein problem

Ich verstehe nicht warum Menschen sich um 15.000,- EUR einen Golf oder 3er kaufen anstatt sich was Schönes wie z.B. einen W116 oder einen SEC oder einen A8-D2 oder schöne 7er zuzulegen... Sehr traurig dass die Menschen keinen Geschmack mehr haben...

I owned several 280E, S and SE, automatic and shift, but the 450 V8 makes them look all like nervous wannabe fast cars.

For injector cleaning and protection of the K-Jetronic use 1% - 2% two stroke oil to the fuel!

Vergiss nicht zur Pflege der K-Jetronic und des alten Motors immer 1% Zweitaktöl zum Sprit zu füllen das wirkt hervorragend!
