Hey Phillyjazz
I will be doing a walk-on with Bootsie Barnes at The Firehouse in Mt. Holly, NJ on July 18, 2010. Pedro Matos will be there too! What time? When he lets me come up. Come cheer me on.

I played with some of these guys at the Mill Creek Center on Lancaster Ave years ago. Does anyone have videos of those days? It seems like a time long gone. I was choir director there.

I remember those days. Do you think Dewey Wynn might have taken some video ? I was too irresponsible at the time. There were some great sessions there !!

As a professional classical musician who's getting more and more seriously into jazz, the talent of these people just blows me away.

You'd be surprised how many of these guys have classical backgrounds. Bootsie actually used to play classical TUBA as a young man.
