he means instead of the bands releasing an album and then going on tour after to promote it, they toured using songs from their upcoming album that hasn't released yet.

My favorite song of the whole album, it's so funky and trippy, I play it over and over again. I would like to sample it into a Hip-Hop song before Kanye West does. haha
