Thanks to murderous presidents like Andrew Jackson and history washing institutions like the Smithsonian we have very little credible information on the native American tribes who have all but been erased from time. I trust Thomas Jefferson & Benjamin Franklin's suppositions more than modern professors. This rant is laughable and to me lends more credence to Joseph Smith than destroys him. Compare Mayan Temples to Babylonian Ziggurats, there is an obvious ancient Old/New World connection.

I still protest the constant reference to the Book of Mormon as a "translatuion".

Given what we know and given that the story of the BoM's production is true as stated by the scribes/witnesses, God is the one who "translated" the BoM from "Reformed Egyptian" into English, NOT Joseph Smith. He merely dictated to the scribes what was shown to him, IN ENGLISH, on the Stone-In-The-Hat, by "The Gift and Power of God" himself.

A "translation"? NO.

A "dictation"? Yes.
