because its fucking ridiculously easy to manipulate a persons mind. like simply putting a darker shadow on someones face makes them appear more sinister, and in fact the mind is so easy to change we're programmed and conditioned to think and react in a certain way without even knowing it. i seriously recommend a book called 'thinking, fast and slow' by daniel Kahneman, its absolutely brilliant.
